It’s been another good week at the footy and there was some outstanding footy at the Gold Coast.<\/p>\n
It was another game of no-huddle that produced plenty of exciting footy and also showed some solid defensive footy.<\/p>\n
The Roosters’ Anthony Watmough and Sam Tomkins made a nice start to their finals year with a series of hard knocks at centre and full-\ubc14\uce74\ub77c<\/a>back.<\/p>\n Brisbane and Cronulla showed a bit more resilience late in the game as both teams went back and forth in a battle to score in front of a packed house.<\/p>\n At the Gabba, Jack Bird was a hero. The Tigers were able to keep their composure during one of the most intense finals moments in recent years.<\/p>\n Jack Bird’s two goals set up a Gold Coast side winning in front of about 10,000 screaming home crowd.<\/p>\n It was one of the more entertaining games of the season – at times both sides ran\uc608\uc2a4\uce74\uc9c0\ub178<\/a> on defence with a lot of quick transitions and possession play.<\/p>\n Both teams were relentless in the second half.
